Dan Goslings moment ruined by ITV football foul up

Sometimes you just make a mistake but you get encouraged to just go on? said Dan Gosling, scorer of the goal missed live by UK viewers in another example of why ITV should be banner from showing British Football. The channel that brought you the impenidtude to ruin the English game with ITV digital managed to show a game until suddenly playing adverts over Everton wonder boy Dan Gosling’s first goal for the club against local rivals Liverpool in a televised Merseyside derby in the Eon sponsored FA cup 4th round.

I mean your watching, it is 0-0, after 118 minutes of a FA cup reply at Goodison. Liverpool have brought on Ryan Babel, Everton have brought on Andy Van der Myde. One of them elbows the other in the face and then you are shown a title screen for ITV, an action for children advert, a snippet of another ad and the VW commercial before…‘Wonderful’ we miss an Everton goal.

After some amazing commentary about how the moment was unmissable almost as if to wind us up before the game finishes, they then screw up the ad break and host Steve Rider says ‘Sorry if you missed the live transmission of the goal, er…’ I have never finished a sorry with ‘er’ because it sound dishonest. Well done to Dan Gosling on your great moment. I am sorry it was broadcast on ITV though.
