Is John Cleese also Allen Stanford of cricket and billionnaire fame?

asked this website/blog post:
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/the-ticker/2009/02/17/is-r-allen-stanford-really-john-cleese.html

I have come to the answer of YES.

Whilst I have seen John Cleese in the flesh, Allen Stanford was not there so they could be the same person. I would love to see Cleese cast as Stanford, especially during the bit of the movie where he flirts with the English cricket WAGS in Antigua whilst their husbands and boyfriends or on the pitch in the hot sunshine.

Cleese could make that just as creepy as it really looked.

Dan Goslings moment ruined by ITV football foul up

Sometimes you just make a mistake but you get encouraged to just go on? said Dan Gosling, scorer of the goal missed live by UK viewers in another example of why ITV should be banner from showing British Football. The channel that brought you the impenidtude to ruin the English game with ITV digital managed to show a game until suddenly playing adverts over Everton wonder boy Dan Gosling’s first goal for the club against local rivals Liverpool in a televised Merseyside derby in the Eon sponsored FA cup 4th round.

I mean your watching, it is 0-0, after 118 minutes of a FA cup reply at Goodison. Liverpool have brought on Ryan Babel, Everton have brought on Andy Van der Myde. One of them elbows the other in the face and then you are shown a title screen for ITV, an action for children advert, a snippet of another ad and the VW commercial before…‘Wonderful’ we miss an Everton goal.

After some amazing commentary about how the moment was unmissable almost as if to wind us up before the game finishes, they then screw up the ad break and host Steve Rider says ‘Sorry if you missed the live transmission of the goal, er…’ I have never finished a sorry with ‘er’ because it sound dishonest. Well done to Dan Gosling on your great moment. I am sorry it was broadcast on ITV though.

The sheers unprofessionalism of Andrew Sachs makes granddaughter rich

I don’t want to condone what Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand did and find it unbelievable the their producers thought it acceptable to broadcast their actions. However, I feel that I have to point out that this would never had happened if it was not for the unprofessionalism of Andrew Sachs. Sachs prearranged a telephone interview and then did not answer his telephone. It was simply this action that led to this situation. Therefore, this was not a ‘prank call’, which is illegal; it was sheer rudeness on the part of Sachs. Whilst he may want an apology for his granddaughter, she will no doubt welcome her increased media profile and appear in men’s magazines shortly for a nice fee.

No holds barred!!!

Some Man United fan just called Ronaldo a bit of a cunt on BBC Raido Five live on Tim Lovejoy's show. I actually think that Lovejoy is a bit of a cunt. Listen to how many times he uses the words: me, I, my mate, my team, my boy, I, me, myself and I.

Let's go invade Zimbabwe

I need some help to understand this.

Why did the UK and the USA break with UN protocol to remove a despot called Saddam Hussain who we were told was committing grave human rights abuses against his own people? The pointing missiles at us, 45 minute claim was utter BS and we (and Doctor David Kelly) knew this at the time, but despite 2 million people on the streets of London to protest the war in Iraq, our Government went ahead and invaded another country.

What does Mugabe have to do to receive similar treatment?

I remember two very different conversations, months and 200 miles apart in the UK happening to me in year 2002. In London I met a man who had been tortured in the most horrible ways I have EVER heard for supporting the opposition and imprisoned on several occasions, one of them for doing something on a night when he was imprisoned in a police station so they knew he wasn't at the scene of the alliged crime, if there even was a crime. I met him outside Zimbabwe House on the Strand in London where protests have gone on for years. I told him not to return for his own safety and he said he wouldn't for a while, but he would have to save his friends and family.

I also had a female friend at uni in Leeds, who showed me a paradise residence which was the screensaver on her laptop. I said "that looks gorgeous, where is that?" she replied that is was her old house before Mugabe's militia came and stole in from her family because they were white and let the land go to ruin. Looking at this six years on...how has it come to this, the hyper-inflation and the starvation of millions has been ignored by policitions for ages.

So now after this weeks ridiculous election at last African nations, the president of South Africa, the EU, UN, my Queen and the living god that is Nelson Mandela can speak out about Robert Mugabe and his behaviour I ask this...why don't we just invade Zimbabwe?

Now this is a suggestions I am SURE two million people would not line the streets to oppose.

Watching Jay-Z at Glastonbury live on BBC3

I would usually be at Glasto, but last year's mud put me off. Not Jay-Z. Although I was sure he would put on quite a show I have to admit that watching it from home on my sofa live on BBC3 is pretty amazing. No mud, no drugs, not even £3 a pint of cider from the magical cider bus for me this weekend. Almost one hour in it is a great show, but where are the guest stars that was talked about???

Come on....I am not in Somerset and fancy an early night.
